Registration

To register for LISD 23 Things, you must complete five steps:

STEP ONE - FAQs

Carefully read through the
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Tips for Success to better understand the expectations of the program. Remember, there is no face-to-face meeting -- everything takes place online.

STEP TWO- Statement of Understanding

Complete the online Statement of Understanding regarding requirements for credit/non-credit participation, including SB-CEU and graduate credit requirements. (You will need to complete additional paperwork and submit this with applicable fees if you register for SB-CEU or graduate credit for this course - information will be emailed to you regarding what is required.)

STEP THREE - Google Account

Create a Google account (if you do not already have one). This account will be used throughout the program.

A. go to
Google
B. click on "sign in" at the upper right
C. click on "create an account now"
D. enter an email address to create your account -- this can be any email address**, but must be the one you will use throughout the program and to communicate with program facilitators (it may be preferable to set up a Gmail account (mail.google.com) at this time and to only use this address for this course - that is recommended to avoid confusion in later tasks.)
E. enter and confirm a password
F. enter the verification code
G. click "I accept" to create account.
H. Send to course facilitators at 23things@lisd.us the one email address** you will be using throughout the course to communicate. This is also the email you will need to use when you set up your blog account and when you complete Things 8 & 16. Please make sure this is an email account you can access from any place.

STEP FOUR - Participant Documentation Worksheet for Certification of Attendance/Course Syllabus

  • For Credit: If you are taking this course for SB-CEU or graduate credit, please print out the Syllabus, which includes an time log worksheet for tracking your work hours. This is especially important for participants who are taking this course for SB-CEU or graduate credit to have this information to turn in by the end of the course, but the tracking data will help us in planning for future online learning opportunities as well. Later you will need to transfer this information to submit on the Online Documentation Log Form at the end of the course with completed Page 2 from the Syllabus.

  • Not for Credit: If you are not taking the course for credit, but would like to keep track of work completed for your own records, please print out the course syllabus. At the end of the course you may be asked to estimate the amount of time spent to complete the tasks - this log will be helpful to you in tracking that time if you choose to use it.

STEP FIVE - Registration

If you have not already done so, go to LISD's online registration system to complete your enrollment in 23 Things.
